AMT 1972 Corvette

My completed AMT 1972 Chevrolet Corvette

this kit was a pleasure to build, a well detailed kit buildup unlike some other AMT Kits, the instructions labelled every peice and gave good color choices for each peice. Over all the car fit well onto the chasis and everything went smoothly. the Color effect didnt come out exactly how i inteded it to but I think it looks fine.

I am Really proud to own this kit since it has great detail and it only cost me .99, when i would usually be paying .99 plus for an AMT kit which arent my favorites. this kit makes me think twice before choosing between a Revel Kit or AMT kit.

 

The Interior was pianted in Testors Flat black and i was able to get some shine out of the seats and the dash by rubbing with some wax

 

The AMT kit also included the Convertible Soft top which i painted black with silver trim, the kit also came with a Hard top but, due to complications while painting the body, I prefer not to display

 
This is one of my favorite images

This is the first kit I have built with a suicide hood, I really love this feature since the model is molded perfectly so the hood stays open with out any proping it up. my particular model hood didnt fit flush to the body since the fan gaurd in the engine bay keeps it from closing flush.
